GREETINGS FROM THE LAND STAFF FOR
THE CELEBRATION OF
THE EAST KINGDOM’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY
We apologize for the delay in getting more information out to the Knowne World. Please find below the procedures for getting a place for tent camping at “ EK 50 Year”.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to email the land staff using the form below
Unlike some other events where they have spent 35 years of measuring, surveying, drawing maps, putting in roads, taking out roads and moving them four feet north, re-measuring, developing a historic knowledge of the most minute curvature of the Earth on the SW corner of the block, and have two weeks to set everything in place before people show up….. We have two days to get things set up on site. So I hope you will bear with us.
Below are is the basic information you will need to have a camping place and a chance to enjoy what will be a very special event in the History of the East Kingdom.
1- The individual allotment for each paid reservation individual, received by 11:59 pm, June 11, 2018 will be 250 square feet, and assigned to the group the individual has named in said reservation.
2- Every group must have a Land Agent.
3- The Land staff will be in contact with all registered land agents.
4- There is no digging of fire pits, sump holes, trenching of tents or any other action which could break the sod pattern in the camping areas. Tent stakes and “portable holes” are allowed.
Between May 1, 2018 to June 10, 2018:
1. Land agents may register their group.
2. Individuals are to pre-register themselves and which group they are camping with.
3. The Landgraf will be emailing updates to the land agents, and making sure that everything will fit as best as it can.
4. https://50year.eastkingdom.org/registration/ is where all the procedures for how to register for land agent and personal registrations can be found.
5. Please note, that only paid registrations will count towards the land allotment.
6. If you need to change your land group. People who have already pre-registered can change their land designation by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with said request. Again this must be done prior to 11:59 PM June 11, 2018
June 11, 2018 – Last day to register for land.
Between June 12, 2018 and June 15, 2018
1- Land staff scratches its collective head and thinks how are we going to fit everyone in here?
2- Land staff will realize a way to make it happen.
3- Land agents may receive emails with questions related to their number, places they really want to camp, how the Land staff drinks their coffee, and other items which may need answering.
June 16, 2018
1- Land staff will email all land agents with a list of their registered attendees.
2- Any final rules will be emailed at this time also.
3- Again unlike some other events, which have spent years developing magic software to email everyone, with mail merge like programming, and group specific attachments automatically inserted into emails, the Land staff has a single email account. But it will work…
4- As always, any questions will be answered in a timely fashion.
June 17, 2018 to June 25, 2018
1- More questions answered.
2- Final prep being done.
June 26, 2018 to June 28, 2018
1- Land staff on site looking for any anomalies which could have impact on the land process, such as, the entire field has become a lake, or the site owners built a cricket field where we had planned to camp.
2- If email access is available the Land staff will make final notices if needed, to Land Agents.
June 28, 2018 – Let the onrush happen…
1- 9 am to 11 am – LAND AGENTS only will be allowed to come to the super-secret registration gate, which will be clearly marked , and receive their beautiful event token and then come see the Land Office.
a. Other members of the Land Agents’ party may be allowed to pass through the gate after the initial onslaught is over.
2- Land agents will check in with the Land Office and discuss final placement of their camping area.
3- Please do not bring all your campmates with you to the Land office. WE are trying to keep it simple and uncluttered. There will be plenty of time to get set up before dark.
4- Some areas may be reserved by the Land Staff. These areas will be marked.
5- There may be access pathways/roads in the camping areas to facilitate the movement of people to and from their encampments. Please respect these markings.
6- WE are hopeful that by 4 pm all groups will be allotted space and happily setting up.
Thank you for your time and understanding. More information will be forthcoming.
